Boat Song

from Channels by Arundel

/

about

"A pumping synth-rock anthem."
- 4zzz Chris Cobcroft

"Immerse yourself in the electronic new world order with the sights and sounds of the electro pop underground."
Tone Deaf

BOAT SONG is a confession by a watchful romantic, locating the self among desire, lust and entangled in a tragically optimistic reverie. A heavy synth bass and fragile falsetto vocals take the listener through hope, sadness, all the way to the 'other side' driven by energetic programmed beats. Like all Arundel songs, there is a depth and texture that creates a truly unique tone.

Arundel’s 3rd EP "Channels", featuring BOAT SONG and the previously-released CHIMPANZEE will be out in Mid-May coinciding with an East-Coast tour.

The Arundel project began in 2010 with a solo laptop producer exploring the diversity of atmospheric electronic music, but always with a link to live organic instrumentation. 4 years later, Arundel’s full potential has been realised with a new 5-piece band performing truly grandiose rock-tronic pop music, videos, artwork, & visuals.

lyrics

Boat Song
(Arundell/Crossley)

Look at me, I'm one good lad.
Is it too late for best friends?
I know who you are, I know your taste.

No one can see this me; I let them hear nothing
No one can see in me, I let them hear nothing
(Will you call on me? No way)

I'd let you see right through.

Our boat will get to the other side
In rain, we'll leave all the other eyes
If you get there before the end
I won't need all the other lives

If our rope won't reach to the other side (please wait for us)
I hope we fall in another life (are you waiting for a world)
If all the soul mates got it right
I know you and me wouldn't mind

I see your face every night
I see your face every time
When i'm awake in the dark

Do you see when I look?
What if you linger so I can?
Is too late to confess?
Could it be a dream state when I could fear nothing?
Could it be a dream state then I can fear nothing?

No one can see me like i let you see right through.
